Job Title: Industrial Machine Electrician III – 3rd Shift
Location: Jamestown, NY (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay Rate: Approximately $38.70/hr + $2.29 shift premium ($39.99/hr total)
Hours: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, +/- per business needs)

The Industrial Machine Electrician III is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining complex electrical systems to ensure manufacturing equipment reliability and uptime. You will utilize advanced skills in automation, robotics, and PLCs while working both independently and as a technical resource for other team members. Safety, craftsmanship, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems and equipment, including automation, robotics, PLCs, CNC, HMI, and servo drives.
  • Assemble, install, and test industrial electrical systems, strictly following safety and energy control protocols.
  • Conduct and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, contributing feedback for system and process improvement.
  • Interpret technical documentation, schematics, manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards—stop work and report any hazards or injuries immediately.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced technicians.
  • Collaborate with production and support teams to optimize equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver high standards of craftsmanship and quality in all maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a relevant trade, or a Journeyman Trade Certificate with relevant experience, or a 2-year technical degree plus 3 years experience in machine repair/industrial electrical.
  • Significant experience troubleshooting complex electrical, automation, and control systems, including PLCs, HMI, CNC, servo drives, and robotic equipment.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Industrial Electrical Code (IEC), and 70E safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Experience providing guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentices or junior staff.
