Kelly® Technology/Kelly OCG is seeking an L3 Validation Technician for a direct hire position with a top semiconductor company in Hillsboro, Oregon. L3 Validation Technician - Hardware
Hillsboro, Oregon
Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm
Pay starts at $24/hr +/- DOE
Benefits + Paid Time Off

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering on preproduction platforms set up and deployment.
  • Platform support ranges from internal clients (phones, tablets, desktops, laptops) to servers.
  • Installation of preproduction OS and Best-Known Configuration (BKC) on multiple platforms segments (Including installing CPU, loading firmware and KSC).
  • Perform power and performance testing on preproduction equipment running Windows monitoring battery life.
  • Running performance testing using various commercial Benchmarks.
  • Run Custom benchmarks and tests.
  • Compile data and put into Excel spreadsheet.
  • Partner with Software Engineers to collect data on specific usages on the platforms.
  • Effective communication on status with internal and or external customers.

Qualifications:
  • Must have strong hardware skills and experience.
  • Build a computer personally or professionally. Experience with mechanical assembly of computer systems, even if it's only building systems of your own.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking and multiple interruptions in very dynamic environment.
  • Able to perform repetitive testing with great attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and apps (Regedit, BCDedit, Control panel, loading Drivers}.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting internal or external customers.
  • Experience coding Python, PowerShell, C++, etc.
  • Similar client validation testing or other testing.
  • Some college or vocational schooling or work experience.
