Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Formulation Chemist for a cosmetic manufacturing company located in southern Louisiana. As a key driver of the innovative team, the Senior Formulation Chemist will spearhead the development of proprietary, cutting-edge cosmetic products that set industry standards. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to expand unique intellectual property through inventive formulation strategies, innovative delivery systems, and the integration of novel raw materials. We seek a talented scientist with a passion for science and creativity, capable of translating breakthrough technologies into commercially successful products.
Responsibilities:

• Lead formulation development for cosmetic products (e.g., skincare, dermatological) from ideation to scale-up
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot formulations for performance, stability, safety, and cost
• Conduct bench work, pilot batches, and support manufacturing scale-up and technology transfer
• Evaluate raw materials, suppliers, and new technologies
• Stay current on industry trends and innovations
• Ensure formulations comply with global regulatory requirements (FDA, EU, ASEAN, etc.)
• Design and interpret stability, compatibility, and performance testing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
• Prepare and maintain detailed formulation documentation, SOPs, and technical reports

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cosmetic product formulation
