Put your manufacturing and material handling skills to work with Smurfit Westrock, one of the world's largest sustainable paper and packaging manufacturers. We're hiring Finishing Utility / Flatpack Operators to support high-volume corrugated packaging operations at our Conover, NC facility.

? Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
? Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 4 days on / 4 days off
?? Paid Lunch | ? Overtime Available
? Work Environment: High-volume, safety-driven corrugated packaging facility

? What's a typical day as a Finishing Utility / Flatpack Operator? You will:
? Feed cartons onto conveyor belt systems while maintaining proper orientation and stack height.
? Pack cartons using automatic packers or manual hand-pack methods.
? Perform in-process quality inspections and audits to meet packaging standards.
? Operate shrink tunnel and robotic packing systems (training provided).
? Transport materials and palletized goods using an electric pallet jack.
? Assist with flatpack sorting, bulk-pack, and case-pack production processes.
? Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in assigned areas.
? Follow all PPE requirements and Safety Absolutes policies (S.T.E.P. program).

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Strong attention to detail for quality checks and packing specifications.
Safety-focused mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around automated equipment.
Basic math and measurement skills.

Work Environment & Expectations:
Fast-paced production floor with automated finishing and shrink-wrap equipment.
Standing, walking, bending, and pallet handling throughout 12-hour shifts.
Steel-toe shoes required on Day 1.
Site tour required prior to start.
Ability to begin after cleared drug screen (background in process).
