Field Service Technicians needed  (Kingston, Rhode Island)
100% remote position, 75% plus travel.

Ideal candidate will be based out Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or Connecticut, but can reside anywhere .  Company vehicle and Company Credit Card.
Payroll through Kelly Services, Full-Benefited Contract position with no end date .

Machine Repair, will be working on CMM machines. 
CMM Repair or CNC Repair desired but not required.

Leading Metrology & Engineering firm is immediately hiring CMM Field Service Technicians.  These positions will be responsible for servicing clients within a 250-mile radius of Kingston, Rhode Island (will service Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut). 

*Training will be provided to mechanically inclined individuals with a willingness to travel. Applicants possessing previous experience in Field Service are highly encouraged to apply.

CMM Field Service Technicians will be responsible for installing and servicing a variety of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), machine tools, and accessories. Also provide technical support for all applications of products encompassing CMM, metrology, demonstration, functionality, and performance.

This position is 100% remote with 75% plus travel within a designated territory.

CMM Field Service Technicians typically travel within a range of 0-350 miles.
Client site visits vary on client needs. Multiple weeks may be spent at a specific site at any given time. Hotel accommodations are scheduled and paid for through company credit card. Work Schedules may vary from week to week, but most work and travel hours take place Monday morning through Friday afternoon (Friday afternoons through Monday morning candidates can expect to be at home)

Job Title: Field Service Technician.
1st Shift: 7AM-3:30PM (Home most Friday afternoons through Monday morning).
Pay Rate: $30 hourly*
Mileage Reimbursement if using own vehicle.
Travel Expenses covered by company credit card.
Daily Per Diem offered for travelling meals.

Job Description:
Responsible for installation and machine maintenance, which includes diagnosis, repairs, certification, and re-calibration of various machines at customer sites to conform to factory specifications and accuracy standards.
Perform service calls at customer sites to correct problems involving production machinery and company products. Perform related duties to customer satisfaction.
Provides technical support to other service representatives and customers.
Ensures prompt preparation and completion of service and expense reporting related to assigned duties.
Provides the highest customer satisfaction while representing Kelly in a professional manner.
Supports organizational policies related to safety, environmental protection, housekeeping, etc. within area of responsibility.
Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities that positively affect safety, the environment, quality, reliability, and productivity or improve the overall suitability and effectiveness of the management system, its processes, and products.
The design, documentation, testing, creation, or modification of computer programs related to machine operation.
Technical duties include tasks that are both mechanical and electrical.
Mechanical duties include assembly, disassembly, leveling, diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on automated equipment.
Electrical duties include diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Associates Degree preferred or equivalent combination of technical courses and experience.
Must be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of working independently.
Minimum of three years mechanical, electrical, computer, and software experience.
Machine, CNC or CMM repair experience highly preferred.
High Mechanical Ability.
Military job experience is welcome.
Must exhibit independence and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal assistance.
Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must be able to travel extensively (up to 100%) in a Regional Territory.
Lifting of up to 75lbs.
