Job Title: Estimator/Process Control Specialist
Location: (Remote) Must live in Tampa, FL, Chesapeake, VA, Lansing, MI, Conyers, GA, Atlanta, GA or Smyrna, TN.
Statement of Works – 1 year contract to hire with enhanced benefit plan, which offers medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, PTO, and 401(k) options.
Pay Rate: $45-$55/hr – Guaranteed 40 hours – With opportunity for volunteer overtime paid at straight time.


Kelly Engineering is seeking a qualified Estimator/Process Control Specialist with extensive practical knowledge in PLC/SCADA systems and process controls. Ideal candidates will bring experience in Water/Wastewater sectors, with a strong background in Instrumentation and Controls. Telemetry experience is a plus, enhancing the capabilities and expertise needed for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates aligning with both customer requirements and company policies.
  • Develop proposal documents and customer proposal forms as needed per customer requests.
  • Assist in evaluating and improving company estimating processes.
  • Prepare feasibility/contract review forms and schedule pricing review meetings when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to establish budgets and coordinate scope for project kickoffs upon receipt of purchase orders.
  • Follow-up on proposals to determine the status and gather feedback about pricing.
  • Utilize extensive process controls and/or instrumentation experience.
  • Must be available for short-term travel to attend Bid meetings, Value Analysis Meetings, Pre-award Meetings, and assist in job startup/standby activities as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred, but equivalent experience demonstrating specific related technical skills is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the design and startup of electrical controls.
  • Essential experience in Process Controls.
  • Proficiency with PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of P&ID drawings.
  • Must have authorization to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship from the company.
