Kelly Science & Clinical has a new temp-to-hire opportunity for an Environmental Monitoring Specialist in Madison, WI!

A Temp to Hire Opportunity
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm + 1 rotating weekend day
Pay: $30-$40/hour, depending on experience


Summary:
Responsible for conducting environmental monitoring to detect potential contaminants affecting product quality during manufacturing and testing. Tasks include routine monitoring, documentation, and aiding in investigations and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct EM using air samplers, contact plates, and particle counters in cleanrooms.
  • Maintain and organize the microbiology laboratory, ensuring cleanliness and supply order.
  • Follow good documentation practices and produce timely reports.
  • Employ aseptic techniques during EM tasks.
  • Participate in investigations and corrective actions for out-of-specification results.
  • Update and manage microbiological EM database and reports.
  • Test supplies and raw materials for QC, including microbiological media.
  • Assist in writing and updating SOPs for EM testing and equipment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Qualifications:
  • AAS or B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, or Biotechnology preferred.
  • Experience in cGMP or regulated environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EM lab equipment and aseptic techniques.
  • Strong work ethic, multitasking ability, and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).

Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to wear PPE, including safety glasses, lab coat, and cleanroom attire.
  • Able to work with hazardous materials safely.
  • Work in cleanroom environments for extended durations.
