Kelly, in partnership with a national food distributor, is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in Kenosha, WI!
This is a direct hire role, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package immediately upon hire!

Details:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
- Pay: $90,000 - $119,000 annually plus a 10% bonus
- Location: Kenosha, WI
Job Description:
- Act as the main expert on health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure all locations follow rules (like OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
- Oversee incident reporting and investigations, document them thoroughly, and ensure quick fixes. Use incident data to spot trends and suggest improvements.
- Identify and manage risks related to health, safety, environment, transportation, and security by assessing hazards and implementing solutions (engineering fixes, safety equipment, training, etc.).
- Handle environmental compliance, including permits and reports for things like air, water, chemicals, spills, and hazardous waste.
- Support OSHA recordkeeping and manage reports like the OSHA 300 log.
- Provide assistance at the scene of serious accidents or injuries when possible.
- Communicate with transportation staff to review accident responsibility.
- Respond to violations (such as unsafe driving hours or failed inspections).
- Report serious incidents to authorities promptly and within required timelines.
- Regularly inspect sites and processes to find hazards and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Create and maintain health and safety programs and procedures tailored for each location's needs.
- Design and deliver training to employees on safe practices, hazard awareness, and emergency response.
- Proactively look for potential risks in warehouse, fleet, and transportation operations and work to prevent them.
- Help manage and improve all aspects of the Process Safety Management program.
- Organize and lead safety committee meetings.
- Set safety goals and track performance, giving feedback and recommendations.
- Work with regulatory agencies and keep up with changes in laws and standards.
- Check if training is effective by reviewing employee knowledge and behavior. Help coordinate health, safety, and transportation training.
- Travel regularly to division sites and handle all travel arrangements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS role
- Bachelor's degree required
- OSHA/EPA/DOT knowledge required
- 30 hour OSHA training required
- CSP and/or HSE certification a plus
