Engineering Technician | Wadsworth, Ohio
Contract | Onsite

NOTE: This position is subject to ITAR, which requires U.S. citizenship due to access to controlled technical data.

Targeted Pay rate: $25-40/hr depending on experience

Duration: 3 - 4 months, from February through August, with potential for immediate start.

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to play a vital role in translating engineering designs into seamless shop floor operations. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact ERP implementation project, supporting the creation and maintenance of Methods of Manufacture (MOM) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for thousands of products. What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and structure BOMs and MOMs within Epicor Kinetic, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret drawings, blueprints, and product data, translating them into ERP entries.
  • Utilize the Engineering Workbench to manage part revisions and ensure engineering changes are accurately reflected.
  • Support Job Entry activities by pulling MOMs into production jobs and verifying data integrity related to materials, scrap, and labor.
  • Assist in part master maintenance, including Part ID creation and configuration in line with manufacturing protocols.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies, optimize routings, and ensure ERP data supports production efficiency.

Required Skills:
  • Strong manufacturing background with familiarity in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Prior experience with Epicor ERP Kinetic is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data verification skills to maintain accuracy across systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical documents and optimize manufacturing data.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience using Data Management Tool (DMT) for bulk data uploads.
  • Understanding of costing methods, particularly Standard vs. Average.
  • Exposure to electronic data management and large SKU environments, especially in a manufacturing ERP context.
  • Engineering degree or related technical certification is a plus.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Recent graduates with relevant manufacturing or ERP exposure are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment or in supporting ERP data entry processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes in a structured manufacturing setting.

Other Requirements:
  • This role is fully on-site in Wadsworth, OH, with standard hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility available).
