Electronics Technician – 2 Openings (Day and Night Shift) – $26.60–$27.40/hr – Columbus, IN

Location: Onsite in Columbus, IN (Local Candidates Only)

Shifts Available:
•    Day Shift: Flexible hours between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM
•    Night Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Pay Rate: $26.60 – $27.40 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role:
Kelly is hiring two Electronics Technicians to support operations at a leading automotive component manufacturer in Columbus, IN. In this hands-on, full-time role, you'll work in the CSE Controls Lab troubleshooting and maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems, supporting test system setups, and developing custom electronic test hardware.

This is an onsite position, and candidates must be local to the area.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Complete assigned Work Orders using the lab's internal tracking system.
•    Monitor incoming work requests and begin work independently, especially during the night shift.
•    Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain HIL test systems, including hardware and software components.
•    Modify wiring harnesses and create connections for sensors and engine components such as EGR, VGT, and IAT.
•    Support custom electronic hardware development including harness builds, ROM boot setups, and test instrumentation.
•    Maintain documentation of system configurations (hardware, cards, serial numbers, etc.).
•    Install software such as CyberApps plant models and LUIS configurations on test benches.
•    Perform scheduled maintenance on actuator carts, CAN panels, wiring harnesses, and other lab equipment.
•    Assist with lab organization, inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or in a similar technical role.
•    Strong understanding of electronic circuits, system-level troubleshooting, and data measurement tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
•    Ability to read wiring schematics and perform hands-on wiring, soldering, and system integration.
•    Comfortable working independently and managing workload using a work order system.
•    Able to work onsite full-time in Columbus, IN.
