Kelly Engineering has a GREAT opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Technician located in Fenton, MO!

This position supports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems for floorcare cleaning and sanitation products.

  • Responsibilities include configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control systems and prototypes. As well as assisting with testing and diagnosing causes of malfunctions or failures in systems, devices, and instruments. Additionally, this role involves documenting and recording testing procedures, tracking performance results, recommending equipment replacements as needed, and maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools essential for testing and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports, reviews, and validates equipment and electrical controls including PCB design for domestic and international markets, including regulatory compliance and certification and building test equipment and fixtures in a commercial environment.
  • Assemblers, installs, test and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, equipment, circuitry, and components according to established procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Validates and meets regulatory process and work with product engineering to achieve product certifications.
  • Establish processes and tools to create a robust data management system for electrical engineering documentation.
  • Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline by escalating issues at the appropriate time to reduce/minimize impact to projects.
  • Confirms systems and components capabilities by designing testing methods and properties.
  • Read and understand electronics schematics, decipher circuit diagram functions, and other related documents.
  • Work with existing files and make improvements/corrections as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting electrical design by reviewing, validating, and testing electrical controls and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience validating and specifying electrical components that comply with US and World regulatory agencies
  • Experience working with various Regulatory Agencies globally preferred
  • Adept at interpreting project and product needs, developing product requirements and executing with a cross-functional development team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and business intelligence tools, Microsoft Power BI, preferred
Environment Physical Requirements
  • Exposed to a normal office environment
  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional travel required
  • Sits, working at computer for most of the day
