Title: Drafter  
Location: Modesto, CA
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Contract Pay Rate: $35-40/HR

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reverse Engineering and Documenting Parts (specifically in terms of measuring and creating drawings from parts)
• Measuring parts using micrometers, dial calipers, digital calipers, pin gauges, tape measures, CMM machine (Onsite Training will be provided)
• Creating 3-D Drawings in Autodesk Fusion including Dimensional Drawings using proper coordinates.
• Creating 3-D Assembly Drawings as needed.
• Modify existing drawings to have different pocket sizes or arc profiles for changing bottle types (New dimensions will be specified)
• Dimension tolerances are required on some drawing
• Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors (e.g., size, shape, arrangement of parts, etc.)
• Prepares rough layouts utilizing CAD software, including Fusion 360
• Performs a variety of calculations (e.g., to compute angles, weights, dimensions, compression, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of CAD experience
• AutoCAD Drawing software experience
• Experience in Fusion 360 software helpful
• Experience with Measurement Devices like calipers, micrometers, gauges, vernier calipers
• Understanding measurements (Imperial vs Metric) to ensure proper fit
• Experience with tight tolerances, such as 10 thousandths of an inch, and working with both metric and imperial measurements
• Understanding how to identify materials – Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Hardened Materials, Plastic Types (Onsite Training will be provided as needed)
• Dimension tolerances are required on some drawings. They can train on this as needed.
• Attention to detail is an absolute must
