Director of Research & Development – Centennial, CO

Type: Direct Hire
Shift: M-F 8a-5p
Pay Rate: 150-180K

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute R&D strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee lab operations, ensuring scientific rigor and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage R&D teams to foster innovation and efficiency.
  • Act as a scientific spokesperson at industry events.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, academic institutions, industry leaders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Guide product development for timely commercialization.
Skills and Requirements:
  • PhD or advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Microbiology, Material Science, Biochemistry, Engineering).
  • 5+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in managing scientific teams and leading product innovation.
  • Background in diagnostics, medical devices, flow cytometry, lateral flow, microbe testing for water, PCR, NGS, RNA/DNA extractions, and isolations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, public speaking, and industry engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and industry events.
