Data Analyst needed in Downers Grove, Illinois
Temporary Position
Hybrid
$28 - $30/hr based on experience

Advanced level skill test required for this role

Requirements: 

  • Strong technical and software skills (Excel)(Aptitude to learn PV and other access software)
  • Good networking skills and phone skills
  • Some basic chemistry background from high school/college would be helpful

Tasks:
  • Look up documents in PV to gather manufacturer trade name and address if available
  • Internet search for trade name and manufacturer information
  • Review C of A records for each manufacturing location to obtain the trade name, manufacturer and address
  • Contact distributors to determine what manufacturers they purchase from and what trade name products they purchase to fulfill our orders.
  • Contact Buyers, Quality, R&D, to obtain information on materials
  • Completely populate information sheet for materials for new approved manufacturer system.
  • Coordinate with Master Data group to upload information into SAP Approved Manufacturer system.

Justification:
This temporary position will allow us to populate vital information for our procurement system and allow us to have documented control over the materials we purchase for production and maintain compliance with customer, regulatory and performance specifications.  This system is foundational to our regulatory and quality standards.

This person will be gathering the manufacturer's trade name, determining the plant(s) where the manufacturer's product is approved for use, the name of the manufacturer and their address.  We have bits of information in several systems and some reports.  In many cases, it will require internet research to obtain much of the information needed.  It will also require accessing C of A information from each manufacturing site and may require contacts with our buyers and our suppliers to gather the information.
