- Taking customer orders, offering pricing information, and performing consultative sales.
- Explaining services and benefits to customers to assist with procurement of capacity.
- Monitoring service on all requests and shipments, ensuring on-time performance.
- Generating business leads and communicating opportunities to the sales organization.
- Creating orders, procuring loads, negotiating, tendering freight, and resolving issues.
- Updating customers regarding shipments via phone, email, and web-based channels.
- Facilitating communication with owner operators or outside agents for cost-effective shipment execution.
- Maintaining high accuracy in order documentation and ensuring safety-oriented operations.
- Assisting contractors with critical shipment information and directions.
- Suggesting improvements to business processes and procedures.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required); bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Possess two years of Logistics industry experience (preferred).
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Are a team player with a positive attitude and strong individual initiative.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excel in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and professional phone etiquette.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have solid computer knowledge.
- Exhibit strong prioritization, organization, and active listening skills.
