Conveyor Design Engineer
Location: Roswell GA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Conveyor Engineering Team Lead


About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Conveyor Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing conveyor systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure all project requirements and specifications are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and layout conveyor systems, integrating various components using Solidworks and AutoCad.
  • Develop general arrangement drawings and collaborate with structural engineers to develop foundation reactions and interface drawings.
  • Use Belt Analyst to determine power requirements and select appropriate components for conveyor systems.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party engineering disciplines as necessary to meet project deliverables.
  • Assist with scope of work development, scheduling, and budgetary estimates.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure specifications are met and vendor information is timely and accurate.
  • Communicate with construction and field teams regarding installation sequences and other requirements.
  • Support design reviews and drawing approvals.
  • Report project progress and participate in design discussions to improve processes and outcomes.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is preferred.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in conveyor engineering and design, preferably in a CEMA context.
  • Proficient user of Solidworks, AutoCad, and Belt Analyst, with a proven ability to produce accurate design layouts.
  • Fundamental knowledge in heavy industrial equipment and mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills—both oral and written—and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
