Join Our Team as a Clinical Laboratory Client Specialist – Make a Difference in Patient Care!

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Client Specialist to serve as a vital link between our laboratory and our valued clients in St. Louis, MO.

This onsite contract-to-hire role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure smooth operations, accurate result reporting, and outstanding customer satisfaction—key to supporting superior healthcare outcomes. The pay rate ranges from $34 to $38 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage client registration, test ordering, cancellations, and specimen processing with precision and professionalism.
  • Address client inquiries promptly via phone, providing compassionate support and clear explanations of testing processes.
  • Verify specimen data against requisitions and ensure labeling accuracy.
  • Report test results in accordance with established protocols, maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives and system integrations.
  • Uphold OSHA, federal, and state regulatory standards, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, fostering trust and ongoing partnership.
  • Assist in training new staff to uphold excellent service standards.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of three years of customer service experience in a medical or clinical laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Empathetic, frontline support skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, self-motivation, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory standards beyond OSHA.
  • Additional language skills or customer support certifications.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree required; a Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience in client relations, healthcare settings, or laboratory processes is highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

  • This role is based in St. Louis, MO, and requires on-site presence.
  • Ability to comply with all laboratory safety standards and regulatory requirements.
