Laboratory Technical Manager
Salary: $90,000–$110,000 (Relocation assistance available)
Position Overview:
We're looking for a proactive Laboratory Technical Manager to lead lab operations in a fast-paced testing environment. This role focuses on managing quality systems, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and overseeing both equipment and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, update, and maintain SOPs for AIHA, VLAP, and other accreditations

Enforce company, customer, and government safety standards

Implement and maintain quality management practices to deliver accurate, reliable testing services

Manage laboratory equipment availability and routine maintenance on instruments including GC/MS, ICP/MS, and FLAA

Oversee staffing plans, recruitment, and performance management for lab personnel

Perform chemical analyses and basic test data evaluation

Ensure compliance with lab protocols and calibration of instruments

Collaborate with and train Laboratory Assistants to maintain accuracy and adherence to procedures

Prepare and review technical reports documenting testing results

Support additional lab tasks as required
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field

Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with GC/MS, ICP/MS, and FLAA

Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and instrumental analysis

Proficient with Microsoft Office and lab software applications

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Effective time management and organizational abilities

Team-oriented with leadership skills and ability to work well under pressure
