Remote Customer Service Representative
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour, Full Time, Long Term

Location: REMOTE (For California residents only)

About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced Remote Call Center Representatives to provide comprehensive customer support for a Medi-Cal long-term full-time contract. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting California residents with tasks such as navigating the benefits application process, addressing inquiries, escalating cases as needed, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Following successful training, qualified representatives may have the opportunity to be upskilled to manage calls from healthcare providers, including doctor's offices, hospitals, and pharmacies. This position primarily involves handling inbound calls with occasional outbound follow-up.

Schedule:
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (PST)
Available to START on 6/10/2025
Training is held 8am-4:30pm
No late shifts or work on the weekends.
Very little overtime or once a month you may have refresher training.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general to moderately complex customer telephone calls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Answer telephone calls using an automated system and respond to questions or forward calls appropriately.
  • Research customer inquiries and provide timely responses in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Accurately record all calls and resolutions in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) ticketing system, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Interface professionally with team members, management, and customers regarding service issues.
  • Conduct outbound calls to customers as needed.
  • Assist callers with completing online applications.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as filling out timesheets.
  • Adhere to all privacy rules and regulations.
  • Follow a provided work schedule.
  • Connect callers with leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and policies.
  • Report any problems or issues through our online system.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries within established timeframes.
  • Complete all assigned training programs.
  • Utilize standard call-center technology, including telephones, email, and web browsers.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience required. 
  • Must submit results of an internet speed test from speedtest.net demonstrating:
    • Minimum download speed of 60 Mbps.
    • Minimum upload speed of 6 Mbps.
  • Experience working with computer software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and telephone technology.
  • Experience and proficiency in using help desk software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Will be required to take a typing test.
  • Computer is provided – if 50 miles out of Sacramento it will be shipped.  Otherwise, candidates selected will be required to pick up equipment in Sacramento at the hub office.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
