Description

Title: Business Systems Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
W2 Contract (No C2C)
Pay rate: $20 - $21 per hour
 

  • The Business Systems Specialist will work closely with the business systems team, functional leaders, commercial and operations teams, divisional business units and subject matter experts to identify, develop, deploy and support new business processes on multiple technology platforms including: Salesforce/Heroku, WebOps, Oracle, PowerBI, etc.
  • You will serve as the initial point of contact for the system users that rely on our technology platforms to be successful in their roles and to manage our business.
  • This will include basic administrative functions such as leveraging our Jira ticketing solutions to support user account maintenance, master data maintenance, running/managing reports and dashboards, understanding basic workflows, translating business needs, completing system/user audits, etc.
  • You will also be responsible for partnering with IT and the business (Commercial, MPS, Field Operations, Customer Service, etc.) to support documentation needs, testing solutions, data/workflow validation and reporting.
  • Beyond supporting the launch and roll out of new technologies, another critical component of this role will be the ongoing maintenance to ensure optimum performance and continued improvement over time.
  • The Business Systems Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day basic troubleshooting, addressing user questions, supporting the collection of enhancement requests, identifying new training needs, system performance monitoring and supporting the business through the regular release cycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support regression and user acceptance testing efforts with initial technology deployment and future enhancement releases
  • Coordinate preparedness and ensure implementation of business data loads across different functional teams
  • Drive data cleansing activities during deployment cycle by collaborating with local and national data owners; provide guidance on how to maintain post deployment
  • Responsible for setup and maintenance of new users across technology platforms
  • Provide initial troubleshooting for user issues and escalate for resolution as needed
  • Ensure that system issues are submitted via the appropriate process and collaborate with business systems analysts and IT to ensure timely resolution
  • Coordinate and participate in system testing with business super users
  • Develop and maintain project and process documentation
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to understand related applications, make recommendations, and define/document development requirements as needed
Qualifications & Work Experience Required:
  • College degree with 2+ years' experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while remaining organized and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – able to relay technical information to functional users and business information to technical experts
  • Experience with process/workflow mapping and demonstrated basic project management skillsets
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations while creating a level of confidence with key stakeholders
  • Strong accountability and influencing skills; able to work independently and drive progress
