• Location: Savannah, GA
• Schedule: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM

What a typical day as a  Avionics Installer might look like: 

• Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems and components according to engineering drawings, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform wiring and cabling tasks, including routing, terminating, and soldering connections, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
•  Integrate avionics equipment into aircraft structures and systems, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality.
• Conduct pre-installation and post-installation inspections to verify work quality, identify defects or discrepancies, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including parts used, procedures followed, and any deviations or modifications made. Complete installation reports and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: 

• High school education or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in avionics installation or related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of avionics systems, components, and installation techniques, including familiarity with aircraft wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC (Federal Communications Commission) license, or manufacturer-specific certifications is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for avionics installation and maintenance. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures, including knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and industry best practices for aircraft maintenance and installation activities.
