Automation Technician I & II — NW Milwaukee
Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (Day/Night) Sign-on Bonus: $5,000
Are you ready to make a difference in an innovative manufacturing environment? We are seeking Automation Technicians (levels I and II) for a major healthcare manufacturing team in NW Milwaukee. Whether you're an early-career technician or bring advanced hands-on experience, you will play a critical role supporting end of arm tooling (EOAT), robots, and automated assembly machinery in a project-driven and collaborative workspace.

As an Automation Technician, you will:

  • Support and troubleshoot automated assembly lines, robots (including Fanuc 6-axis and SCARA types), EOAT, and machinery such as pad printers, sonic welders, heat stakers, and hot stampers.
  • Perform robotic programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Set up and operate automation cells, conveyors, degators, and secondary equipment.
  • Be the primary technical resource for production runs, promptly resolving technical challenges.
  • Conduct equipment safety checks, identify unsafe equipment, and ensure readiness prior to line start up.
  • Participate in training operators on assembly machines, robot set-ups, and automation cell operation.
  • Follow company safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Write technical documentation and create training materials.
  • Contribute to process and equipment improvements through collaborative feedback.
  • (Level II only) Ensure work instructions are current, order parts/materials, construct fixtures and safety guarding as needed, document robotic application development, and maintain program backups.
Qualifications:
Automation Technician I
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Enrollment in or completion of a 2-year technical college or 4-year university program in a related field.
  • 2–5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Fork truck and Lock Out/Tag Out certification.
  • Experience with 6-axis and SCARA robots (Fanuc preferred).
  • Toolmaker/machine builder experience is a plus.
Automation Technician II
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Completed 2-year technical college or 4-year university program in a related field.
  • 6–10 years' experience in a related field.
  • Fork truck and Lock Out/Tag Out certification.
  • Experience with 6-axis and SCARA robots (Fanuc preferred).
  • Toolmaker/machine builder experience and ability to build fixtures/guarding are a plus.
