Aircraft Technician II

Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour
Location: Savannah, GA 31408
Schedule: 3:45 PM – 2:15 AM
Duration: 48-month contract

Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision, performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures to ensure compliance with company, customer, and FAA standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments.

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.

  • Coordinate with MTL, STM, and Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA documentation requirements.

  • Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and required paperwork accurately and timely; assist with shift turnovers.

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.

  • Properly tag and secure customer property and aircraft components.

  • Operate ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic mules, lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.) following SOPs.

  • Coordinate and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians.

  • Protect customer property (PTP) at all times.

  • Collect and dispose of waste materials properly; apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean work areas.

  • Utilize material tracking systems to create parts demand, track discrepancies (squawks), and charge labor to work orders.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

  • Comply with all safety rules and proactively address unsafe conditions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate and two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience
    OR
    Four (4) years of aviation maintenance experience including two (2) years on mid/large-size aircraft.

  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, Repair Station requirements, and Quality Control manuals.

  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, process specifications, and company procedures.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
