Accountant
Location: Seneca Falls, NY
Pay Rate: $37/hour
Contract Type: Temporary - 6 months

Kelly Services is excited to partner with a leading manufacturer based in Seneca Falls, NY, as they seek a talented Accountant. The primary functions of this position are to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial results, the maintenance of the functional controls to safeguard and effectively use assets of the corporations through appropriate controls and compliance, and to provide senior management with the level of support and information required for the operation of the business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of multiple corporate general ledgers, with a focus on timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordinate inter-company transactions and reconciliations among headquarters and other related entities.
  • Manage international netting processes on behalf of Shared Services and various business units.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits, process improvements, and the implementation of best accounting practices.
  • Preparation of account reconciliations and working with customers to ensure reconciling items are researched and resolved in a timely manager.
  • Supporting month-end closing activities.
  • Processing of intercompany journal entries and providing support to customers.
  • Initiating debit and credit memos to customers and executing intercompany statements processing.
  • Support fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals.
  • Support ad hoc compliance requests from internal and external auditions.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • 1-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Executes well-defined standard processes.
  • MS Excel required, with PRMS and SAP experience.
  • Experience working with corporate general ledgers.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a Shared Services environment and manage multiple priorities across business units.
