Join our HR team in a hybrid role based in Budapest, Hungary!
   

This Associate HR Representative role acts as a key point of contact for HR, employee relations, and administrative matters, providing first-line HR advisory and operational support to the business. The position ensures compliance with local employment legislation and company policies while delivering efficient HR services.

The role supports the Kelly OCG business in the EMEA region, with a primary operational focus on Hungary and additional scope across Eastern, Southern and Central European locations. It is suited to an early-career HR professional with foundational HR knowledge who is developing toward a broader HR Generalist or Consultant profile.

 

The Associate HR Representative is accountable for:


HR Advisory & Employee Relations
  • Act as first-line support for HR and employee relations matters
  • Advise and coach managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage employee relations cases, including grievances and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent handling in line with employment law and company requirements
  • Support collective agreements and statutory employee processes where applicable
  • Manage maternity, paternity, and parental leave processes in coordination with managers
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
Onboarding & Talent Support
  • Lead and coordinate onboarding processes and deliver HR induction sessions for new starters
  • Ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience from hire to exit
  • Support coordination of training and development initiatives
HR Administration & Payroll
  • Manage employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes, and benefit administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including payroll, benefits, attendance, and performance documentation
  • Ensure global HRIS systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate payroll inputs and liaise with payroll/EOR providers to resolve payroll-related queries
  • Maintain attendance trackers and other HR databases
  • Produce HR reports and metrics to support decision-making
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in HR projects aligned with regional and global HR strategy
  • Analyze HR metrics and contribute recommendations to improve HR processes and effectiveness
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline administrative and HR workflows

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  •  1+ years of relevant HR experience (HR administration, HR advisory, or HR representative role)
  • Foundational knowledge of HR theories, practices, and procedures
  • Experience supporting onboarding processes
  • Experience working with payroll providers and HR systems
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and report on HR data and metrics
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and agile environment
Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday)
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with performance management systems
  • Experience supporting training and development initiatives
