Proposal Manager
The Proposal Manager is responsible for leading compliant, compelling, and timely RFP responses while enhancing the proposal knowledge base and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement. The key outcome is producing high-quality proposal packages that differentiate Kelly SETT companies from competitors, including crafting compelling messages and translating them into client-facing graphics, presentations, stories, and case studies.

 

The Proposal Manager acts as a consultative partner to the bid owner, solution architect, pricing, and SMEs to create customized responses that reflect the workforce solution for potential or existing customers. You will act as a liaison/subject matter expert to the Kelly sales and operations organizations. This function is key to Kelly retaining and winning additional business. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the bid process from start to finish for complex, highly visible, and time-sensitive bid responses. 
  • Coordinate proposal content by collaborating with sales, marketing, solution design, and pricing SMEs
  • Coach/guide sales leads and other SMEs throughout the RFP process to ensure efficiency
  • Identify, and recommend new content for inclusion in content libraries.
  • Ensure all proposals reflect brand standards, value propositions, and solution accuracy.
  • Oversee archiving of completed proposals in accordance with process, ensuring easy retrieval for future reference or audits.
  • Assist Proposal Team Manager in reporting and tracking results and RFP business impact
  • During slower RFP periods, proactively partner with marketing to:
  1. Refresh and evolve proposal templates, graphics, and content libraries.
  2. Develop/evolve new client-facing collateral, case studies, and success stories.
  3. Research and propose new ways to present solutions, win themes & differentiators.

Key Outcomes:

  • High-quality, differentiated proposal submissions that increase win rates.
  • A continuously improving content library and process framework.
  • Enhanced collaboration between proposal, sales, and marketing teams to strengthen Kelly SETT's market positioning.
     
     

Essential Skills: 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, driven culture and adapt to constant changes and contending priorities
  • Confirmed ability to build client relationships at all levels of the organization and across the globe
  • Superior writing skills; must clearly articulate (in writing) complex business outsourcing and staffing solutions
  • Resourceful problem-solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills in fast-paced environments

 

Requirements:

  • Previous proposal management and RFP writing required; technology proposal manager preferred
  • Previous staffing solutions and proposal management highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, business, or equivalent work experience
