The Donor Communications Officer designs and leads the overarching message strategy to inspire philanthropy, deepen donor engagement, and maximize fundraising opportunities. As a strategic storyteller, you will translate complex medical advancements, clinical triumphs, and healthcare equity initiatives into powerful, emotionally resonant narratives. A central priority for this role will be designing, launching, and executing the communication strategy for the Foundation's upcoming 125th year celebration and fundraising initiative, showing supporters exactly how their investments elevate patient care and save lives in our community.


Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Major in English, Literature, Philosophy, Communications, etc. Minimum Experience: 7-10 years Experience in healthcare fundraising, hospital foundation communications, institutional advancement, medical public relations, entertainment/storytelling, etc. Minimum Skills: Master-level writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to convey emotional urgency and complex medical concepts in accessible, inspiring terms. Proven track record of leading and managing the creative process with collaboration. Demonstrated sound judgement in navigating various work environments with ability to serve as thought partner to team leaders. Expert familiarity with hospital donor databases/CRMs (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud) and modern email marketing tools. Understanding of healthcare philanthropy, grateful patient fundraising models, and strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards. Preferred Education: Master's degree Pay Transparency The salary rate range for this position is $99,507 - $164,559 annually.
