What are we looking for?
The Senior Project Engineer-Client Site NEBS is responsible for overseeing a client site test program including review of test plans, review and acceptance of test configuration, review and acceptance of data, report writing, and project management. This position has the potential for 5% travel.
Shift/Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $120,000 - $132,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Perform and witness physical environmental, electrical, safety, mechanical and EMC testing and evaluation per industry specifications, including GR-63-CORE, GR-1089-CORE and GR-3108-CORE.
- Independently test and evaluate a variety of telecommunication equipment and products.
- In cooperation with client personnel, manage test project start and completion dates, review test plans, inspect test configurations, review test data, compile data, product description, observations and results into final report, submit report to reviewer for final approval.
- Regularly communicate project status, test results, and unexpected issues throughout testing to clients, sales personnel, and management.
- Read and determine applicability of standards and criteria for the equipment under evaluation.
- Validate project scope and sample applicability.
- Configure and operate standard test equipment including, but not limited to: digital multimeters, environmental chambers, thermocouples, data acquisition units, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers. In addition, the engineer must be able to use hand tools to install products into test frames and to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and wiring instructions.
- Within policy guidelines, identify, properly document, and recommend engineering judgments.
- Provide ongoing support to clients as needed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 4+ years in a laboratory environment or relevant manufacturing or design engineering experience
- Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving record

- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent organization and time-management skills
- Microsoft Office software experience is a must have
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 5%
Occasional travel between the client site and the Intertek-Lexington, KY facility
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Prior project management experience
