Branch Manager

PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Branch Manager to join our Building & Construction team in our Austin, Texas office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

How you'll make an impact at Intertek:

  • Responsible for overseeing an assigned branch, including managing multiple departments and service lines, driving operations/sales, and people leadership
  • Works collaboratively with other Senior Management to ensure effective and efficient operations processes exist in support of Intertek's key strategic initiative implementation
  • Will manage, mentor and coach direct reports with the ability to effectively direct project teams and other managers
  • Establishes strategic alliances with key decision makers, and instructs direct reports to do the same
  • Strategically supports the business through growth and/or change
  • Be aware of/adhere to, safety practices/policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required
  • P.E. Registration is highly preferred for this role
  • 7+ years in a management role working in a fortune 500 environment is required
  • 7+ years managing and implementing businesses strategies, process management programs in a service-oriented organization is required
  • 5+ years of managing in an influential role as well as leadership in a people management environment is required
  • Ability to conduct business across multiple time zones with significant travel involved
  • High degree of personal integrity and the ability to collaborate with others in a team-based environment
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate
