Description

The ServiceNow Developer will be a key part of the ITSM Operations team. This position is responsible for leading the development efforts in ServiceNow. The ServiceNow Developer will be primarily focused on designing and developing the core ServiceNow application and integrations. Possess the ability to integrate new solutions with existing infrastructure without compromising security. The developer must be able to identify, mitigate, and control any risk to reduce any impact to the business' day to day operations. Be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on platform progress regularly.

The role will report directly to the Manager of Incident and Problem Management


 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of the ServiceNow platform to ensure ongoing process improvement and feature development
  • Perform benefit analysis for IT solutions and make recommendations for technology direction
  • Configuration/Customization of the Service Now platform, including creating workflows and integrations to 3rd party systems such as REST and SOAP
  • Previous experience with scripting tools, such as Java Script and leveraging it to enhance ServiceNow functionality
  • ServiceNow implementation and maintenance experience with multiple components of ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, SecOps, and Asset Management)
  • Create Service Maps for various Business Services
  • Provide continuous support in developing service catalog forms, designing workflows and notifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow version Paris or newer
  • Experience with engaging ServiceNow HI and driving issues to resolution
  • Firm understanding of ITIL, ITSM, SDLC and Agile processes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Minimum: Four year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • ITIL Certification or relevant experience
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or relevant tool experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a medium to large sized enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow software development specifically in ITSM module
  • 3+ years in depth experience defining, implementing, and improving ITSM processes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDG, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

  • Thorough understanding of the ITIL/ITSM Processes
  • Experience with communicating professionally with customers and senior leadership, verbal and written
  • Experience with service management enterprise software platforms such as Service Now
  • Experience with IT SOX / Audit as it relates to the ServiceNow platform
  • Able to work with various cross functional teams
  • Process design expertise and process excellence focused
  • Ability to influence others at all levels of an organization with proven leadership skills
  • Able to commit to working non-standard hours on occasion
  • Able to perform in high stress situations
