We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor to come in and assist with our journey to a world class safety program. We are looking for a forward-thinking self-starter to assist with performing inspections, implementing processes and procedures, monitor their effectiveness, conduct training, be active in safety committee meetings and conduct incident investigations. The ideal candidate would work Monday - Friday. The candidate perfect for this role will also lead by example when it comes to standards and ensure safety processes follow federal, state and local rules and regulations. The EHS candidate for this role will also have a broad understanding of CFRs 1910 and1926 as well as CFR Titles 40 and 49. This EHS Supervisor role will conduct a serious amount of inspections ensuring our team members and subcontractors are exuding our safety principles. They will be able to communicate effectively via electronic mail, interpret safety trend data and write safety related reports when necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Develops and implements strategies to prevent workplace injuries, property losses, and vehicle accidents * Prepares and implements policies/procedures that incorporate safety into routine work flows * Reviews and interprets regulatory requirements; monitors changes; implements system controls to ensure compliance * Conducts job, work environment, and equipment analyses to identify safety hazards; recommends solutions * Conducts investigations of safety incidents and recommends corrective actions * Manages safety reporting and recordkeeping systems; analyzes loss data to identify patterns and trends * Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations * Compiles and submits reports required by regulatory agencies * Manages auto and Workers Compensation claims * Develops and facilitates job-specific safety training for new hires and existing associates * Designs effective tools to raise safety awareness and reinforce safe work practices * Conduct audits to identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies * Provides guidance to site leaders on safety related matters * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as * Create Safety Recognition Program for the site * Over see the maintenance of facility * Hourly associate * Create PM daily checklist for automation * Create a daily plan for the maintenance tech * Other duties as assigned Hours - Monday through Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm Salary - $78,000 * B.S. degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline * Minimum 5 years of related experience preferably in a warehouse/transportation environment * Comprehensive knowledge of safety program management and statistical reporting techniques * Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g. OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, FMCSA, FTA, WC) * Must have experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment * Must be proficient in Microsoft applications * Must have current driver's license and be able to travel to remote locations (25%) * Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred but not required Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
