We are hiring an Engineer for our Joppa, MD location! 
 

As an Engineer with Hydro Air, you will assist our sales force with technical expertise for the design of fluid power systems and customer system integrations. This includes preparing hydraulic schematics, test procedures and recommend components. You will provide integral project management for these systems.

What you'll do:  

  • Provide/review drawings, plans and other customer documents in order to prepare detailed technical proposals.
  • Propose changes in equipment, processes or use of materials, which would result in cost reduction or operational improvements for the customer.
  • Provide technical services to customers.
  • Develop business relationships with engineers and other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial and other establishments to create solutions that incorporate our products and systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Effectively prepare hydraulic schematics, test procedures and recommend components. 
  • Ability to read and understand complex project specifications and drawings related to the fluid power industry.
  • Experience in designing and advanced knowledge of Electrical standards; field experience integrating multiple controls platforms; and proficient in CAD and schematic generation.
  • Technical design knowledge of fluid power-primary focus in Hydraulics.
  • Fluid Power schematics and industry experience.

 

We seek:

  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Working knowledge of Design CAD or SolidWorks.
  • Technical design knowledge of Electrical Controls and Fluid Power.
