Hobby Lobby has an outstanding opportunity for a Cisco Network Engineer – CCNA located at its
corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
OVERVIEW
The Cisco Network Engineer is responsible for developing and integrating the network communication
requirements for the LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. This includes routers, switches, firewalls, VPN
services, wireless and remote access services, security appliances, and associated management tools. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable working with cross functional teams in a professional manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
- Build and support data networks comprised of Cisco core and edge devices.
- Provide support of network infrastructure environment, respond to escalation notices, perform root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Installation setup and configuration of switches and LAN devices with VLAN routing and switching.
- Configure and maintain a WAN utilizing Cisco SD-WAN technologies and solutions.
- Implement new network technologies and designs based on business needs and requirements.
- Troubleshooting and supporting remote networks.
Requirements
Required:
- 3+ years of experience building, deploying and support of enterprise class Cisco routers, switches
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
- Capability to plan, design, install, and implement a variety of network infrastructures.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on an array of network products (Example: Cisco, SD-WAN)
- Proficient in management, configuration, and troubleshooting of BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols.
- Thorough understanding of Layer 2 network protocols such as VTP, STP and Port-Channels.
- Experience in using Cisco ISE for AAA and Radius authentication.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline desired (a combination of training, work experience and education may be considered)
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP
- Capable of analyzing data, recognize problems, and draw logical conclusions
- Team work; establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with those contacted during the course of the work day
- Ability to produce and present technical information on network technology platform solutions and trends
- Available to work off hours during the evenings and weekends as required
- Some travel within the U.S.
