This position is responsible for identifying and mitigating enterprise-wide risk through effective consultation with business leaders and recommending most effective solutions for addressing corrective action, conflict resolution, and absence management concerns. The Workforce Solutions Consultant conducts investigations into employee concerns and assists leaders with identifying solutions related to people care to enable them to drive business results. The role is also accountable for leading the development and administration of HR policies, procedures, and tools to effectively support business leaders and promote positive employee relations. This is a remote role; candidates must work in one of the following five states, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, and New Mexico or within 250 miles from one of our BCBS offices.Required Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4-6 years in human resources, preferably, employee relations, or closely related field.
- Counseling, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Understanding of HR policies and procedures and federal and state employment and labor laws.
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative solutions.
- Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with all levels of management and employees.
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships and networks with various levels of employees and management.
- Up to 25% travel required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Labor Relations and Leaves Administration experience.
- J.D. or legal training.
- 5+ years conducting complex investigations.
- Experience responding to and managing administrative charges (e.g., EEOC, DOL, etc.)
