This position is responsible for identifying, developing and executing sourcing strategies for the most cost effective pricing and best service for Professional Services including IT Consulting and IT Managed Services. This role does not procure IT hardware and software. Responsible for building relationships with key executive stakeholders, managing escalations independently, understanding business pipeline and forecast and providing a strategic plan for streamlining vendors while becoming a subject matter expert for the appointed category. Training and mentoring junior team members and implementing the identified opportunities directly alongside senior management. Senior Advisor is responsible for participating in and supporting the design and implementation of strategic sourcing activities (RFPs, RFIs, Market Scans, Category Management) for appointed category; participating in the strategic sourcing process by partnering with Business stakeholders to define specifications and requirements, leading, conducting internal and external data & pricing analysis, and providing recommendations based on analysis. Advisor should be able to independently analyze Industry Markets And assess risk, gather intelligence on fundamental conditions, and technical Information that affects the category. Advisor will also be responsible for contract negotiations, pricing negotiations, contract compliance, vendor management, and stakeholder management. Advisors are expected to have excellent project management and time efficiency skills as they will be managing several sourcing projects and contracts at a given time along with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders. Advisor should be able to identify and develop cost reduction opportunities while maximizing benefit to the business. Advisor should be comfortable speaking and delivering presentations to internal business teams for RFx's as well as having excellent business acumen. As an Advisor you will gain a vast knowledge of the inner workings and operations for one of the largest healthcare plans in North America. Successful candidates should have a strong desire of learning about the healthcare industry.Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business and 8+ years progressive experience in indirect procurement, supplier management, category management.
- Knowledge and skills to participate and be effective in contract negotiations with industry suppliers; knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, effective negotiating skills to reduce supplier base and to negotiate beneficial contracts, knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices, experience in procurement function contract management activities and perform category management.
Analytical skills to support and enhance procurement strategy and goals.
Strong relationship management capabilities with internal and external stakeholders; ability to build strategic relationship with senior-level colleagues, demonstrated thought leadership skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and drive to manage multiple escalations internally/externally.
Clear, concise, and confident verbal and written communication skills.
Project Management skills.
Strong multitasking capabilities.
Experience with conducting wide-ranging research.
Ability to function in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations.
Experience developing presentations and presenting to management and other internal groups.
Proficient at MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
MBA or Masters Degree.
IT Professional Services (IT Consulting and IT Managed Services) experience.
Knowledge of HCSC organization.
Knowledge of Business Process Outsourcing.
Knowledge of Health Insurance industry.
Knowledge of e-Procurement systems and tools; experience utilizing Procure-to-Pay and Contracting modules or similar procurement systems.

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $180,700.00
