Hawthorn Senior Living currently has an immediate opportunity at our Vancouver, Washington home office for a full-time Accounts Payable Manager.

Hawthorn Senior Living is a rapidly growing senior housing company, managing independent living communities throughout the United States.

This position is not remote or hybrid.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable requests for Hawthorn Senior Living and related business entities in a professional, accurate and timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience in accounting field is required.
  • Minimum three years accounts payable experience required; showing progressively increasing levels of responsibility required.
  • Minimum two years experience in a supervisory position required.
  • Outstanding leadership and supervisory skills required, including hiring, coaching/mentoring, training, conducting job performance evaluations, and terminations.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work duties.
  • Embodies a patient and creative attitude with the ability to “think outside the box”.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to and respect for all individuals.
  • Builds on basic learning and carries it from one situation to another.
  • Takes responsibility to eliminate the source of problems.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills in problem solving and decision making.
  • Asks questions and seeks assistance as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with vendors and staff.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing and questions with co-workers and vendors of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and pleasantly in an extremely busy work environment.
  • Must be a team player who is able to deal with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as required
