Description
The Associate in Asset Recovery is responsible for assisting in the recovery and disposition of assets, such as equipment, vehicles, and property, that have been repossessed or seized. They work closely with legal teams, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies to ensure proper documentation and compliance with laws and regulations. The Associate may conduct investigations, locate and secure assets, coordinate auctions or sales, and manage the logistics of asset recovery operations. They may also assist in negotiating settlements and resolving any disputes related to the recovery process. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and stage incoming product
- Verify accuracy of various receiving/shipping documents
- Properly evaluate product & sort into corresponding categories (As-Is, Liquidator, Scrap)
- Ability to test/evaluate various product
- Must be able to work in a team environment to complete daily tasks and goals
- Safely work with and around forklifts
- Achieve productivity levels in line with department goals
- Accurately & timely data collection and entry (paper and/or electronic)
- Operate material handling equipment as needed
- Adherence to all company policies including safety rules
- Additional duties as assigned by manager
- Regular attendance is a required

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School or GED
- Experience in warehouse environment preferred

Physical Requirements
DC-Non-Exempt - *Standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. *Grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. *Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. * Ability to safely team lift, lower, and move items up to 50lbs unassisted (maximum), 51+lbs assisted over the course of a work day *Sit or stand continuously for up to twelve hours per day. *Must be comfortable working with and around forklifts, conveyer systems, scissor lifts, and hazardous machinery. *Must be comfortable with performing many of the tasks listed above from a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above the floor surface observing safety controls. *Must utilize proper safety controls at all times. *Must be able to drive automobiles, forklifts and scissor lifts.
