Fusion Academy is seeking a highly organized, systems-oriented SCOIR Project Coordinator and Post-Secondary Counselor. 

 

Part of the year, this role will serve as a key operational lead for the SCOIR platform, ensuring campuses have the tools, training, reporting, and system support needed to effectively manage core admissions-related processes. Another part of the year will be spent working 1-to-1 with students to explore their future and build strategic plans to achieve their goals after high school! 

 

Key Responsibilities for SCOIR Project Coordinator:

SCOIR System Management & Operations
• Serve as the primary project manager for Fusion's non-PSC college admissions processes in SCOIR.
• Manage the overall health, organization, and operational effectiveness of the SCOIR system.
• Maintain system accuracy through updates to settings, processes, templates, and workflows as needed.
• Partner with internal teams to identify process improvements and ensure SCOIR supports evolving campus and organizational needs.
• Troubleshoot system-related issues and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders and external partners when needed.

Annual Readiness & Compliance
• Lead the annual rollout process to ensure campuses are ready for each admissions cycle.
• Ensure all initial transcripts, school profiles, and other required core documents are uploaded and available in SCOIR each year.
• Coordinate yearly review and refresh of key admissions-related system data and materials.
• Monitor completion of critical annual tasks and follow up with campuses to ensure deadlines are met.

Campus Training & Support
• Design, organize, and deliver training for campus teams on SCOIR processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Create clear support materials, quick guides, presentations, and communications to help campuses confidently use the platform.
• Provide ongoing support to campus teams throughout the admissions cycle, answering questions and reinforcing consistent process execution.
• Help campuses understand roles, responsibilities, and timing related to non-PSC college admissions tasks in SCOIR.

Reporting & Data Management
• Develop and maintain SCOIR reports to track usage, completion, compliance, and operational trends.
• Analyze data and provide regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Use Excel and other tools to organize, interpret, and present admissions systems data in a clear and actionable way.
• Identify gaps, risks, or process bottlenecks through reporting and recommend practical solutions.

Cross-Functional Project Management
• Coordinate with campus leaders, Post-Secondary Counseling, academic teams, operations, and other internal partners to ensure alignment on admissions-related workflows.
• Manage timelines, priorities, deliverables, and communications across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Lead meetings, document action items, and drive follow-through on system updates and operational initiatives.
• Support change management efforts tied to system improvements, new processes, and annual admissions readiness.

 

Key Responsibilities for Post-Secondary Counselor:

 

  • Provide a dynamic virtual 1:1 teaching and counseling experience to students via credit-bearing post-secondary preparation courses, and non-credit-bearing post-secondary counseling enrichment packages. 
  • Mentor students in exploring post-secondary options; 4 year college or university, 2 year junior or community college, gap year, vocational and tech or trade schools, apprenticeships, military, or direct to career and more! 
  • Navigate and utilize college and career readiness tools like SCOIR, YouScience to identify student aptitudes, interests, abilities and link them to their future goals. 
  • Read, analyze, and interpret transcripts, GPA's, and other academic records to make recommendations and provide guidance for college or university prospects. 
  • For college bound students; provide comprehensive support through the college application and admissions process, standardized test preparation plans, developing personal statement and supplemental essays, assist in distributing financial planning resources as needed, and more! Craft detailed counselor letters of recommendation and successfully navigate the college application materials submission process for students on your active roster 
  • Communicate effectively with colleges and universities to ensure admission requirements have been met for college bound Fusion student 
  • For non-college bound students; assist with resume building, interview techniques, career preparation, and developing professional presence. 
  • Connect and collaborate with the Nationwide Post Secondary Counseling team, supporting over 80 Fusion Academy campuses across the country and Fusion Global Academy. 

What We're Looking for: 

  • The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who combines systems thinking, operational rigor, excellent communication, and the ability to translate complex processes into clear, actionable guidance for campus teams.

  • 3 or more years of experience in Post Secondary Counseling, College and Career Readiness, Educational Consulting, or Higher Ed and Admissions Counseling 
  • Advanced Degree (MA, MS, MEd, or higher) in School Counseling, Educational Psychology, Education, Mental Health Counseling, or related field

  • Fusion PSC's must have comprehensive knowledge of the college admissions process and experience guiding students through the complex college search and admissions process. 
  • Candidates will have knowledge of alternative post-secondary options such as vocational, apprenticeships, or gap year programs and be able to support students in preparing for the workforce or finding internship opportunities. 
  • Candidates need to have an innate passion for nurturing and support adolescents. Experience with Neurodivergent Students with Learning Disabilities is a plus.

Pay Range

USD $24.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
