Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor (Waste Management) located in Flex Guadalajara Norte.

Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, this role will be responsible for coordinating the handling, proper segregation, and final disposition of production waste (scrap), ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards (5S) and maximizing material recovery value through efficient logistics and vendor management.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Supervise daily operations related to waste and scrap management across production areas, ensuring proper segregation from the source.
  • Coordinate personnel (material handlers and forklift operators) across different shifts to ensure timely collection, movement, and disposal of materials and waste.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Industrial teams to implement improvements in material segregation and recovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with cleanliness (5S) standards across production and warehouse areas, aligned with internal metrics.
  • Manage and track scrap output, ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and alignment with financial and environmental targets.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors and recyclers for waste collection, optimizing costs and maximizing revenue from recoverable materials.
  • Collaborate with Indirect Procurement on bidding processes for new materials or waste collection services.
  • Analyze different waste streams (cardboard, plastics, metals, etc.) to maximize recovery value and reduce disposal costs.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and documentation for all materials and waste leaving the operation.
  • Manage and size the operational workforce, ensuring proper coverage across different shifts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, waste optimization, and operational efficiency.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree completed.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, waste management, recycling, or production support.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material flow, and logistics processes.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • Experience working with suppliers and external service providers (recycling vendors is a plus).
  • Knowledge of 5S methodologies and cleanliness/operational metrics.
  • Experience with reporting, metrics, and KPI tracking (cost, recovery, cleanliness).
  • Intermediate English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is required).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (BAAN or similar is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
