Job Summary

The Test Development Manager will be based in Timisoara reporting to the Director of Design & Engineering.

The Test Development Manager is in charge of guiding the team of Test Development Engineers involved in architecting, developing, and implementing electro-hydraulics aspect of test development process with a focus on fixturing, product interfacing, automation, and operator safety, interfacing with hardware, equipment drivers, diagnostics and data collection / data management.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Provide technical support to the Test Development Engineering team;
  • Work with the customer and design team to comprehend product test requirements;
  • Work closely with Design Engineers to comprehend product functionality.
  • Ensure safety of operator;
  • Comprehend interaction between software / Hardware / Fixturing / Test environment;
  • Provide guidance on automation solutions;
  • Oversee resource budgeting, allocation, review, and approval;
  • Track projects, progress, risks, and performance through regular reviews;
  • Develop and maintain control systems, reports, which accurately measure progress, identify potential technical problems, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure dedications are met;
  • Participate in design input, product architecture, feasibility, and design output technical reviews;
  • Aid and provide guidance in the development of Test engineering plans;
  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated team and workforce;
  • Guide or sponsor continuous improvement projects and/or segment or site initiatives.

Here is some of what you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or similar is required;
  • A Master's in Software Engineering or similar or MBA degree is preferred;
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience including technical business and team supervision;
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical, people and process management skills;
  • Strong customer (external and internal) relationship skills;
  • Demonstrates creative, investigation and problem-solving skills.
