The Office of the CEO partners directly with the CEO and executive leadership to drive high-impact strategic decisions. The work spans market trends, competitive dynamics, business models, and the data and external perspectives needed to inform critical decisions. As a lean, high-performing team, the Office of the CEO tackles the questions that matter most with rigor, clarity, and an outside-in perspective.
As a Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will be a pathfinder for the organization, identifying signals in complex markets, turning data into insight, and helping senior leaders understand what matters and why. You will frame strategic questions, lead workstreams with research firms and internal stakeholders, and develop analyses that bring together market, competitive, financial, and other external data. You will help uncover what comes next, identify where opportunity lies, and influence the decisions that shape the path forward.
What a typical day looks like:
- Track market trends, competitive moves, and industry developments, and brief senior leadership on changes that matter
- Lead market and competitive assessments end to end, covering market attractiveness, risks, and the decision criteria leadership should apply
- Build financial models and run market sizing, white-space assessments, and scenario analysis that inform strategic planning, investment decisions, and corporate development
- Own competitive landscape summaries and CEO-facing presentations, and support broader business review materials
- Set the research approach across recurring and ad hoc work, establishing the standards, sources, and methods used
- Pressure-test findings for accuracy and rigor, including work produced by others
- Translate dense and sometimes conflicting source material into clear takeaways that an executive can act on
- Leverage AI-enabled research and analysis tools to expand the depth and breadth of research, continuously raising the quality of insights
- Partner across functions to ground strategic analysis in operational reality
- Contribute to how the Office of the CEO works, championing a culture of intellectual honesty, collaboration, and impact
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
- Experience with financial modeling and market sizing
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership
Some of our preferred qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree
- 6 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
- Experience structuring and solving ambiguous business problems with limited direction
- Experience using AI-enabled research and analysis tools in analytical work
- Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and third-party research and financial data sources
- Experience supporting M&A, corporate development, or transaction analysis
- Excellent written synthesis skills, with the ability to distill dense and conflicting material into clear takeaways that an executive can act on
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to raise the quality bar on work produced by others and influence without direct authority
What you'll receive for the great work you provide:
- Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans
- Life Insurance
- Short-term and Long-term Disability
- Matching 401(k) Contributions
- Vacation and Paid Sick Time
