Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Staff/Sr. ME Design NPI Engineer located in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site.

Reporting to the Sr. ME Manager, the Staff/Sr. ME Design NPI Engineer plays a key role in supporting the Flex Penang manufacturing site, ensuring alignment with Tier 1 customer requirements and product design. This position offers an opportunity to influence technologies impacting global data centers and cloud infrastructure.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Review product designs and provide feedback to customers to ensure the product can be efficiently and reliably manufactured.
  • Develop, document, and validate manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Coordinate engineering, prototyping, and pilot builds (such as EVT, DVT, and PVT) to test functionality and analyze production data.
  • Prepare / Lead DFM/DFA reviews with Customers (onsite and online)
  • Support onsite FAI product reviews
  • Work hands-on with customers on quality-related issues and drive timely feedback to the factory
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly engineering reviews with customers on Taipei and Penang performance
  • Partner with the Penang team on continuous improvement initiatives

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical,  Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or NPI. ( Understand sheet metal & plastic manufacturing processes).
  • Strong understanding of DFM, DFA (Design for Assembly).
  • Ability to manage timelines, coordinate across multiple departments, and mitigate technical.
  • Expertise in Creo or SolidWorks CAD software operations.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
