Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sr Director, Operations located in Guadalajara North, Campus.

Reporting to the VP, Operations. The Director, Operations will be responsible for leading and overseeing advanced mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations, SMT manufacturing lines, and Liquid Cooling processes, ensuring scalable, high‑volume production, technology integration, and operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Technology process deployment is for all business units and value add services organization.
  • Serve as a key member of the management team that sets the company's strategic direction.
  • Develop strategic planning for the direction and control of manufacturing process development activities.
  • Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
  • Assure that the department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame.
  • Be a student of current industry trends, ensuring that the company maintains and expands its manufacturing technology leadership position.
  • Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, recognizing the role as that of both manager and support resource/mentor.
  • Assure that the manufacturing process is designed for specific needs, but with wider applications/tolerances in mind.
  • Hire and direct staff of senior group members to acquire necessary resources to meet scheduled commitments.
  • Ensure implementation and refinement as required of formal process to support the product development process.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years in manufacturing, including at least 7 years in management roles.
  • Advanced Mechanical & Electromechanical Assembly Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience in high‑volume, high‑complexity mechanical and electromechanical assembly, including server enclosures, trays, and structural components. Proven ability to support new assembly technologies and production ramp‑ups up to 26,000 units, ensuring quality, repeatability, and compliance with industrial standards.
  • SMT Line Operations & Process Coordination: Extensive experience running and coordinating multiple SMT production lines, with solid knowledge of product testing, process integration, and clean room / controlled area coordination.
  • Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of large-scale mechanical assemblies and rack handling.
  • Familiarity with managing large teams (DL).
  • Nice to have: Demonstrated capability to implement, operate, and coordinate Liquid Cooling systems, including cross‑functional alignment and stable production start‑ups CEC): Components: ASICs, CPUs, GPUs and complex BGAs, Optical Packages such Co-package optics (CPOs), Pluggable optics etc. PCB: PCB fabrication process and impact of VIPPO, Lamination, etc. PCBA: Deeper experience in SMT to Final assembly including Thermal management (Heatsink, TIM, Liquid & Cryo Cooling, Cold Plate.
