Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Staff Engineer, Test Engineering located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

This role will be responsible for managing the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures, strategies, systems, components, and modifications. Acts as an advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Configure and deploy test equipment in alignment with defined test plans and production requirements.
  • Lead test fixture design, validation, and acceptance, ensuring compliance with ESD, strain, coverage, and GR&R standards.
  • Drive troubleshooting and advanced debugging activities during production to resolve test yield and performance issues.
  • Analyze test data and collaborate with R&D to resolve technical issues, including NDF (No Defect Found) and improving product quality.
  • Develop and deliver key test documentation and reports (DFT, CPK, PFMEA) to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and oversee overseas transfer activities, ensuring seamless test process implementation.
  • Evaluate, quote, and implement test solutions, including equipment selection and cost optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership by training and mentoring technicians and test operators on test processes, tools, and best practices.

Experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) for effective communication in global environments.
  • Strong experience within electronics manufacturing, preferably in high-power systems.
  • Proven experience with high-power platforms (PSU, BBU, Power Shelf, Rack systems), including functional and system-level testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Chroma 8000 test platforms and VBS scripting for test program development and automation.
  • Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and global/overseas transfer projects, ensuring test readiness and process standardization.
  • Proven ability to optimize test strategies, improve production yield, and reduce test cost/inefficiencies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve complex technical issues (e.g., NDF).
  • Experience mentoring technicians and operators, providing technical guidance and driving best practices adoption.
  • Solid understanding of EHS standards and safe handling of high-power test environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in test process development, validation, and yield improvement methodologies (DFT, GR&R, CPK, PFMEA).
