Job Summary Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Project Manager – Databar located in Dundalk, Ireland.

 

You will work as a key member of the Operations team, reporting directly to the Head of Projects and providing leadership across a portfolio of Hyperscale customer projects. The Senior Project Manager will act as a critical link between multiple departments, coordinating Engineering activities from Sales through to Fabrication & Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Projects and Site teams.


This is a leadership role responsible not only for successful project delivery, but also for driving project governance, mentoring and developing Project Managers, and supporting the strategic objectives of the Databar business. The role requires a strong people leader capable of maintaining open communications across all levels of the organisation and with external clients, whilst ensuring the effective planning, prioritisation, and execution of multiple concurrent projects.

 

What a typical day looks like:

 

  • Lead & drive a Project Team in terms of ownership, translating, managing & reporting all aspects of the project, while identifying necessary resources and assigning individual responsibilities where appropriate.
  • Liaise with clients to build strong working relationships
  • Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching and ensuring consistent delivery standards across the project team.
  • Create strategic and operational plans for each major project monitor and report on the project and financial performance
  • Collaborate with Project managers to identify needs and develop and test ways to overcome challenges
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to client.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to required timescales & cost restrictions.
  • Control, monitor and manage assigned projects to include regular reporting against plans & where necessary intervening to ensure a timely delivery.
  • Ensure that project activities are coordinated with related projects & functional activities, so delays are avoided, and exposure and risk are minimized throughout the project.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately, while providing regular, concise and accurate project, operational and financial reporting to the Head of Projects as part of the day-to-day management of the Project Team.
  • Return monthly applications & invoicing to the financial team on time.

 

 

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

 

  • Relevant 3rd Level qualification or Electrical trade qualification.   
  • 5+ years' experience in a Project Management role within the electrical manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Bar products is advantageous
  • Project Management qualifications and skills as well as experience with AutoCAD software
  • Strong people management skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills, self-motivated and willing to demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Team player with positive attitude and proactive with a strong ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Operate with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Review and understand schematics, GA plans and projects specifications for Electrical power and control Switchgear and its components.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and Data Centre operations would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel within EMEA region.
  • Fluent in English essential.
