Job SummaryIn our European Design Centers in Stuttgart, our team creates technologies for the Automotive Market. Our power electronics portfolio includes Inverters, Battery management systems, Onboard Chargers, 48V and High-voltage DC/DC Converters.

To support our core design team, we are currently looking for a
Senior Engineering Manager – Power Electronics (m/f/d)What a typical day looks like:
- Manage, develop and lead a local core team of up to 15 power electronics technical specialists within the global automotive engineering organization incl. system design, software controls, and hardware integration
- Implement strategies to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
- Develop partnerships with local universities and further IP engineering partnerships
- Direct the power electronics engineering activities inside the Stuttgart design center and partner with other engineering leaders to establish global development objectives and action plans
- Provide functional guidance and professional mentorship to the power electronics technical specialists and involved engineering managers
- Close collaboration with other flex disciplines outside of engineering
- Directly engage global OEM as a technical expert at Flex
- Creation of customer presentations and technical documentation reviews
- Work with key technology providers to understand leading edge solutions and develop strategic partnerships
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Master's degree in electronics and technical computer science, mechatronics, precision mechanics or electrical engineer and/or MBA degree.
- A demonstrated years of systems engineering experience, including supervision.
- Functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry.
- Proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
- Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Good knowledge of company practices, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Fluent English and German knowledge both in written and spoken form
- Ability to travel is required
