To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quote engineer located in Tijuana

Reporting to the Program Manager the Quote engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and executing quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products, with a strong focus on electronics manufacturing and robust server‑grade assemblies.

What a typical day looks like:

• Cost Model data manipulation / Cost & Price roll-up / VAM Creation based on docs and quote strategy
• Create cost models for budgetary or quick turn quotes when demand requires
• Provide final pricing and financial assumption to be included in quote letter
• Complete the detailed Cost models for each quote, ensuring correct processes, content and verify all assumptions with Business teams and operations
• Review any cost models provided by sites for accuracy
• Follow all necessary internal documented processes required for quotes
• Participate in Quote Strategy / Attend Kick-Off calls
• Detailed technical review of customer documentation as necessary
• Build and manage relationships with site engineering resources
• Check & balance of manufacturing site and sales team to ensure profitability
• Site engineering and operations communication
• Ensure financial viability and accuracy of cost models used
• Documentation of any cost activity for future changes and/or evaluations
• Provide financial evaluation for the BDM Team on quotes
• Cost model improvement plans

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
• Advanced English C1
• Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Use of the following tools may be required: word processing, spread sheets, and presentation packages. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Strong Financial knowledge with full understanding of Profit and Loss statements and Balance sheets
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret structured bills of materials, technical drawings, schematics, assembly and test specifications and technical procedures.. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
