Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Metroligy Engineer located in Aguascalientes.

Reporting to the  Quality Metrology Engineer; Quality Metrology Engineer role involves support in development of test methods and procedures needed to determine the Quality of products, validation and inspections of all products produced from manufacturing and assembly processes.

What a typical day looks like:

  • knowledge of ASME, ASTM, GD&T standard to interpret engineering layouts, drawings, and documentation of various levels of components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Equipment Measurement these are needed to guarantee the precision in the Industrial process and the Laboratory (Salt spray chamber, Universal testing Machinery, XR-F spectrometer, FT-IR spectrometer. X-RAY colorimeter, Plastometer, Durometer, Viscosimeter etc.)
  • Development of testing methods and techniques according to established standards.
  • Support test methods equipment coalification activities in conjunction with Quality Engineering and program management.
  • Support in interacting routinely with customers to develop and initiate with methods for inspection, testing and Evaluation of parts.
  • Perform inspection and testing of molded components and assemblies for conformance to design and configuration requirements.
  • Utilize inspection measurement tools (Micrometers, Calipers, drop indicators, Thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators etc.)
  • Failure analysis methods that involve a systematic investigation to determine the root cause of a failure.
  • Perform Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) studies to evaluate measurement methods.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS Chemical Engineering or equivalent work experiene
  • Fundamental knowledge of chemical, physical, and industrial principles applied to materials.
  • Experience working with materials characterization and evaluation of finished and assembled products.
  • English proficiency B2 (Intermediate–High)
  • Ability to evaluate products against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in R&D support, characterization, and failure analysis.
