To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add a Quality Engineering Intern located in our Buffalo Grove, IL site.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the student will assist with daily Metrology tasks while learning, collaborating and working with the various teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Perform CMM, OGP and CT Scanning of injection molded components
- Complete FAI reports as part of new/modified injection molds
- Conduct Test Method Validations and Gauge R&R studies
- Complete statistical analyses based on measurement data
Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior level student pursuing Bachelors' degree in Engineering (Mech/Aerospace)
- Enthusiastic about working in a metrology environment
- General dimension measurement experience
- Familiarity with measurement tools: CMM, OGP, SmartScope, Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gauges
- MS Office skills; Excel and PowerPoint advanced skills; a plus!
- Ability to put together presentations and present data
- Highly collaborative, analytical and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship with lab experience preferred, but not required
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on June 1st and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
