Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Quality the Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and executing quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products, with a strong focus on electronics manufacturing and robust server‑grade assemblies.
What a typical day looks like:
Develop and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products and processes.
Collect, analyze, and present information regarding business conditions, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and new product designs for management review.
Propose and evaluate alternative methods and procedures to solve problems and adapt to changing market opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define company policies, operating procedures, and quality goals.
Develop, defining control areas, personnel requirements, and operational procedures.
Lead and participate in meetings with design and engineering teams to coordinate functions, review policies, and establish procedures to achieve quality objectives.
Serve as the primary technical and quality interface with customers, supporting audits, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review technical issues across departments and recommend improvements or procedural changes.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the quality of newly designed products and resolve issues in products already in production.
Stay current on industry trends by reviewing technical publications, standards, and best practices.
Manage special operational situations such as ramp-up phases, NPI launches, and transitions to high-volume production.
Support manufacturing of robust electronic boards used in server applications, ensuring compliance with stringent reliability standards.
Lead and mentor medium-sized teams of quality technicians and auditors across multiple shifts.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
BA/BS degree in Engineering or a related field.
Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
Proven experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, especially with high‑reliability products (manufacturing process PCBA, SMT, test, assembly).
Experience conducting internal and external audits and knowledge of auditing methodologies.
Strong ability to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Solid understanding of assembly and manufacturing processes for electronic components.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume production environments.
Leadership experience managing technicians and auditors in multi‑shift operations.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Strong command of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D problem solving.
Customer-focused mindset and experience working with quality standards such as ISO.
Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and report Quality KPIs.
Personal management.
Availability and willingness to work night shifts.
